Richmond, TX asked in Consumer Law and Civil Litigation for Texas

Q: I would like to sue a billion dollar company for stealing from its users

Under the guise of TOS terms they have customers/users work/pay for their company and eliminate them at any given time.

A: If you genuinely do want to pursue such a claim against a billion dollar company, I recommend you hire an attorney who is board-certified in civil trial law, who is familiar with clickwrap and browsewrap agreements (assuming the TOS terms are presented to users in that format), and who is with one of the larger firms in or near a county where the company has corporate offices in Texas. You are going to need one of the larger firms to staff such a case against such an opponent.

Any reasonably experienced attorney is going to want to make sure you have the financial resources to fund such a lawsuit against a billion dollar company. Such a lawsuit could easily take thousands of hours of attorney time and cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Be prepared to deposit a healthy initial retainer and to set aside significant funds to guarantee payment to your attorneys.

A: Attorneys here couldn't respond with offers to handle your matter. The format is limited to Q & A. You would need to reach out on your own to law firms to discuss. Based on the brief facts, it looks like something that employment law attorneys might have insight into. Good luck
