Q: Is it illegal for a dealer to sell a recalled vehicle without informing buyer?
I recently purchased a 2014 Jeep Patriot from a Jeep dealer, and I am currently financing it. After noticing the transmission started slipping, I discovered through online research that there is a recall related to the CVT transmission. The dealer, being an official Jeep dealer, should have known about this recall before selling the vehicle. Is it illegal or problematic for the dealer to sell a recalled vehicle without informing me of the recall?
