Barrington, IL asked in Gaming and Personal Injury for Wisconsin

Q: Can I file a complaint and seek compensation for being mistreated at a casino?

I was at a casino and took a break to smoke in their designated area. A security officer asked me to move to a more visible spot due to camera coverage issues, and I felt embarrassed in front of others. Since then, I've had stress-related issues. When I spoke to the head of security to get clarification, they were dismissive and unapologetic. This was my second interaction with them, and I'm interested in filing a complaint and seeking compensation. What steps should I take next?

A: A Wisconsin attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a month. I'm sorry for your stressful experience. It sounds like something you might want to just forget about and move on. Based on your account, I agree that you should have been treated better. However, if you reached out to law firms, I don't believe attorneys would express interest in handling the matter. But that's only my individual opinion. Other attorneys could see things differently. You could make some phone calls to law firms to arrange a free initial consult - that's the most reliable way to answer your question and learn about your best options. Good luck
