A Georgia attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. As a general matter, you should not be held liable, unless you did something out of the ordinary to break the floor. You are required to file a report within 30-60 days under most policies. If it's not over that file one. Second, ask DMV to have the guy's license & tags suspended. If he has a policy that should do it. Last but not least contact a member of the Md. Assn for Justice-they give free consults.
