her mother is scared i might get in trouble bc of us dating so i just wanted to prove to her that i won’t

Assuming that you are only dating with no sexual activity you may date freely. However the age of consent is 16 so at that point, should you engage in sex, that would be legal.
My boys are in dcs custody. They were taken while n the care of another. With false aligations. What do I do.

I don't handle DCS cases, but I can refer you to some attorneys who do. Feel free to give me a call, and I'll pass their names and numbers along.
My daughter was at a park with her bf's family. Grandma got confrontational with grandson and my daughter. Told me daughter to leave. Daughter gets in car and calls me. I told her to make sure she doesn't do anything to her bf. Bf gets in car. Gma goes to daughters driver door and... View More

1. Almost nobody actually memorizes the law. There are too many and they change too often. Any halfway decent cop, lawyer, or judge will check the statutes for all but the most common offenses.
2. Your daughter could be arrested and charged with MURDERING the grandma if a cop believes... View More

And letting them drink but don’t buy it for them
Let say a 17 year old girl runaway from home cause her home is toxic and she can’t handle everyone around making her feel like the bad guy and that the girl has mental health issues that are being neglected or ignored
answered on May 27, 2021
I see that many teenagers describe their home as toxic, not enough freedom, controlling parents, or any one of a long list of other grievances. So, that part is not uncommon.
However, if there legitimately is abuse and/or neglect and this is not just a disgruntled teenager, this should be... View More

Assuming that you are dating with no sexual contact that is OK by the law. By your ages, assuming she is over 14 and you are less than 18 it would not be illegal for you if you do have contact.
She just tried to commit suicide and pretty sure its after a fight, all the photos found in her phone are holding hand pics and faces blocked.. need help.. she is now saying they are just friends but I know that is not true.

If the two are engaging in sexual intercourse, then the 28 year old is committing sexual assault since your daughter is not considered to have reached the age of consent.
My mother was in prison at the time. My father had not been in my life since the age of 4 and my step father had no parental rights over me. I had no legal representation while being questioned alone with two detectives. I am seeking legal help for this. Can you help?

What is it you want to accomplish? Were you adjudicated and want the record sealed? That can be done with a juvenile file as long as it wasn't rape or murder. Were you looking to sue the cops? That probably cannot be done. We you planning on trying to withdraw your plea and fight the case?... View More

It is a defense to prosecution for Harboring a Runaway Child that the actor was related to the child within the second degree by consanguinity or affinity, as determined under Chapter 573, Government Code. See section 25.06(b) of the Texas Penal Code.
A sibling relationship is the second... View More

possibly, but I doubt it would happen.
if it was consensual sex and some time ago, though not technically legal, I don't think it would warrant jail.
you are still with him and he is supporting the two of you?
I was thinking about moving with my boyfriend who lives with his grandmother previously. I will be getting a job as soon as possible. And plan to move on my own once I have enough money.
answered on May 21, 2021
You should work out a budget of all your income and expenses. It is difficult for mothers of newborns to work without full-time support for the baby, and day care is expensive. So it is unlikely you will have enough money for all the expenses without government or family assistance. Have you... View More
We didn't kick him. We just told him to get out our house. Because his mom said by tell him get out we abuse her son. Thank you for you all answer my question.
answered on May 18, 2021
No, why would you think that; assuming you don't literally kick him? You have no obligation to allow him to stay in your home.
My daughter said she will kill herself if I stop her from talking to this 13 year old girl I don't know what to do . Can I file a restraining order ? My daughter does have a Psychiatry list and she speaks with a counsellor already . But I think this girl is influencing her.
answered on May 24, 2021
This is a very delicate situation and there is single right answer on what you can do. I suggest maybe also reaching out to the other girls parents to help figure out a solution.

she needs a psychiatrist and medical treatment more than a lawyer.
a mother and father should sit down with her and try to get through to her.

obviously, you need to get a lawyer either private or by requesting the court appoint the public defender at the arraignment.

My 6yr old daughter has missed 18days and thier telling us we have to bring her with us to court shes scared and dont want to go what do we do?
answered on May 12, 2021
Who told you to bring the child to Court? If it is not an Order from a Judge, then you do not have to. But it sounds like other interested parties want the Child there. Hire an attorney to represent you, and take the Child to Court. Apparently your continued custody is in peril.

The offense named Harboring a Runaway Child does NOT apply to siblings or grandparents. See: Texas Penal Code section 25.06(b). Also, the police solve their problems with ammunition. Don't use law enforcement to solve parenting problems.
