If the bus was a school bus, you would be at fault if the stop sign on the bus was displayed. If it was another type of bus, it depends on what the violation alleges.

No, the violation charged on the citation fixes the points upon conviction, and the fine on the citation is merely a recommended pre-set fine the officers are required to put on the ticket in accordance with the District Court ticket manual; however, all traffic violations carry a fine range... Hopefully you requested a trial and not a waiver hearing, as you can do better on a trial date, including working out a deal with the police officer directly to get some tickets dropped. The speed citation carries 5 points, which will put you at 7 current points total, so 1 point away from... View More
Officer gave me a citation for speeding and prudent negligence, not sure if he used radar or not. If I can request this documentation, how do I do so without a lawyer?
answered on Jul 4, 2021
At court, either before your case is called or when it is called and you are standing before the judge with the officer present, you inquire whether the officer used a radar, laser or Lidar device to document your speed, or whether he paced your car using his vehicle speedometer, and does he have... Call a Maryland lawyer, have the lawyer look up the citations in the online case search system, and the lawyer can determine what can be done in terms of dealing with the situation without you having to come back, and without serious repercussions to your license.
Also a have my provisional license the police office only gave me the ticket and he didn’t talk me if I have go to court , I want to know the charges and if they are going to put point on my license o what I can do , not get the point.

It’s a 5 point offense. That’s 3 points away from a 6 month suspension, and an automatic point suspension conference before the MVA. Any result other than not guilty will extend your provisional license another 18 months. You must request a trial (NOT a waiver hearing). If the officer does not... View More
The judge asked me if I have anything on my record and I said no. But I think I’m on probation from another ticket, but thought she meant if I have points. Am I in trouble?
answered on Jun 15, 2021
You should have told the judge you received probation before judgment for another speeding ticket and when that occurred. The judge can pull your driving record. If you were in trouble, the judge would have told you right then and there. The judge usually pulls your driving record during your case.

Generally, it means "Failure to Appear". Meaning, you missed your court date.
If I have a medical exemption that allows me to have 5% tint on my car windows, but I want to avoid the inevitable - being pulled over left and right by police officers because of my tint just to end up showing them my medical exemption, but I still end up late, harrassed, perhaps with a ticket for... You would need to check with the MVA. If there is a flag on your license, they will not let you renew it. In addition, you can look up the charge on Maryland Judiciary Case Search to see if your license was suspended as a result of this. Eventually, you are going to have to deal with the ticket or... I can't see who was driving but the question is still the same. Rt26 appears to be a divided hwy and at 40-45 MPH 4-5 seconds is short to react. Do we have any recourse?
answered on May 10, 2021
“Divided highway” means a highway that is divided into two or more roadways by:
(1) An intervening space;
(2) A barrier; or
(3) A clearly indicated dividing section constructed to impede vehicular traffic.

Depends. Haven’t seen the video. If and when I do, I can give you an opinion. Ultimately, however, it will be what the judge thinks the video shows.

Yes, but only if there is a supervising driver present who is at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license who has been licensed at least three years. If you have anyone riding in the vehicle under 18 years old who is not an immediate family who resides in the driver's household,... View More

You need to hire a traffic ticket lawyer in the jurisdiction the ticket was issued and see if you can get something worked out re: your most recent ticket.

If this was a camera ticket, you can just pay the $75.00 for the ticket. No points are assessed for camera tickets.
If you wish to fight the ticket, then your aunt would either need to go to court or call a number on the ticket and tell them you were the driver and she was not. They should... View More

answered on Mar 14, 2021
Any lawyer will tell you to request a trial, because if the officer doesn’t show, you’ll be found not guilty. If you request a waiver hearing, you are pleading guilty, and the officer is excused from appearing. You cannot argue at a waiver hearing that what you did does not meet the definition... View More

IF you ever are cited, you can request a trial by mailing in the form at the bottom of the ticket, and plead not guilty then; or if found guilty, request a "probation before judgment" which has the effect of striking the conviction and you get no points. However, you need to be charged... View More

Yes, you should go to court. Failing to do so can get you into quite a bit of trouble (ie. a failure to appear, etc.). Once you request the hearing, you pretty much have to go. Also, dependong on your driving record and the nature of the infraction, you may be able to get a lighter outcome (ie.... View More
