Not sure of your question. I suspect you are trying to get your TNDL. If so, you will have to get paid in full receipts from whatever Courts you had a problem with. Then do a good job in applying for your License, with all paperwork in hand.

Either plea means you are guilty of the Rule of the Road Violation. That means negligence per se when you are sued for causing damages to the car you hit. If you have insurance, call them and ask for advice. If you try it, you will lose anyway. It will be alot better if your insurance... View More

Try to remember what town you were near or there might be a milemarker on the Citation, which you could use on a TN Map from the Rest Areas to possibly find the County. There may be a number to call on the Citation. You can also hire a competent attorney in TN to run it down and represent you.... View More

I was given a court date, but I’m not sure how that works. This is my first ticket. Do I need an attorney? Should I just plead guilty and do traffic school to keep the points off?

A conviction will add 4 pts to your MVR, and you are allowed 11 in the last year. Go to Court in a respectful manner. You might be offered traffic school or some type of diversion. Bring enough cash to pay it that day.

you will need to call Maury County clerk's office. Your case will likely be reset because the courts are closed to most in-person proceedings until the end of January. The clerk's office will give you the correct court date.

No, but the LEO will often arrest the driver. Signing the Citation is an acknowledgement. The DA may even ask you to sign the Citation in Court prior to a favorable disposition.

It is not a criminal rule of the road violation. The ticket collecting company can sue you, and that is about it. There is a TN Statute on red light cameras.

General Sessions is not a Court of Record, so amendments to the Citation are just performed in Court if needed. Hire a competent attorney to politely point out the charging instrument discrepancies to the prosecutor, and maybe get it dismissed or diverted.

Appeal De Novo's are expensive, usually requiring a cash bond. Hire an attorney to go to Court for you. He may be able to work it out to a less painful offense/speed, or he might get a continuance.

It was your responsibility to maintain contact with the Court Clerk and find out when Court is scheduled. Now you need an attorney to straighten it all out. It will only get worse with suspended license violations. You must take a much more serious attitude toward your criminal charges.

Apparently that is a NC violation. You will need to contact a NC attorney for advice. A conviction will probably be added to your TN MVR for the last year.
