I requested proof of speed I was accused of when pulled over and was told by the ticketing officer he did not have to provide it in TN

Following up on attorney Avery's post, it is still recommended that you contact a a traffic ticket attorney or 2 in your area to discuss your options and how to best mitigate your ticket----usually the cost to pay an attorney on a speeding ticket is less expensive than the months of increased... There’s no fine amount written on the ticket. It’s completely blank and I have the option to pay by mail as well. Is this normal, or did the officer make a mistake? Would a judge see 88mph in a 55mph as reckless driving, class b misdemeanor, or just as speeding, class C misdemeanor? Thank you

If you pay it, then that is a conviction and points will be added to your MVR. You might want to hire an attorney or at least go to Court. The blank Citation is something to talk to the DA or Judge about, but it is Sessions and can be amended on the Bench. Apparently the LEO did not thing... View More
I was late for work and going 45 in a 30. I am guilty. I have been told it is better to go to court but after court fees, the fine, and the charge to go to traffic school, I am worried it would be much cheaper to just pay the ticket online. I am a college student working through school and barely... View More

Going to Court is a chance at some type of Diversion or Dismissal. The possible expense is worth the shot. A conviction will add points to your last year's MVR, and you are only allowed 11.
Was at fault given citation,. Ended up in a boot with 2 broken toes and foot fracture up 6 months healing. I know it's my fault just saying options on what to do tia

For what are you seeking an attorney? Based on your post, I would seek an attorney to represent you and help you obtain the best result possible for the citation issued to you. If the accident occurred while you were working then you might have a workers' comp claim and an attorney... View More
Per TN state law 53-50-301 says I can’t have two at the same time, but is the lost license still valid or usable if I found it?
I took my dog to the park while I ate a taco, hopped back in and was in R about to pull out. Stopped to set my podcast and a cop pulled in, I looked behind me and backed out. The cop followed me, so I pulled over to see what he wanted. He kept going, he went R me L. 20 sec later he pulled me,... View More

Sounds like you were stopped without cause. Did you consent to the search? Consult local counsel to determine your options on fighting your citation.
Speeding on a major highway along with multiple cars, state trooper sees us. I slow down and the state trooper gets to the lane next to me and just matches my speed and doesn’t end up pulling anyone over. Could they still mail me a citation even though they didn’t pull me over?

Yes the Citation is a Summons to Court. You might question the identification of the speeding car in Court.
missed court in march 2020 around beginning of covid. Also i live in central Indiana. Recently called their courthouse, they said i would have to appear in front of judge before i was able to get my liscence reinstated. what am i facing when i go there? Also the offense was for riding a wheelie on... View More

Hire a competent attorney to turn you in to the Court when you are not on the Docket. The Judge may arrest you, set Bond, or you might dispose of it all at once. You will need cash that day. Once it is paid in full, take that Receipt back to IN DMV, etc.
To accept and decline orders within the time they give you, you must unlock your phone then accept and put it into your maps, or to decline you must decline then give reasoning why you’re declining. Almost impossible to not tap or swipe just once. Could you get out of this violation on those terms?

The driver is violating the Rules of the Road, not some company on the phone. So the driver is charged only.

I do not recommend just paying it, which is a conviction. Go to Court in a respectful manner with enough cash to pay whatever the Judge orders. Some type of Diversion might occur, and it cannot get worse.

Generally in civil cases, a default judgment will go down against you. In a criminal case, the judge will issue capias for your arrest or a failure to appear arrest warrant. Some civil cases could result in contempt jail time, and some rule of the road violations will also result in a suspended... View More

The prosecution has the burden of proof and at trial would call the law enforcement officer who would identify you as the operator of a vehicle which was exceeding the speed limit. You or your attorney can question the law enforcement officer as to the inconsistencies however, the officer would... View More

They can ask you or any of the traffic schools. But usually you will get away with going to school again and submitting the Certificate. Sometime the school will not allow you to attend.
I was given a speeding ticket 24 days ago and the officer still hasn't turned it in to the station. I have now called 3 times and still nothing. What happens if they don't turn in the ticket within the 30 days?

TN LEOs have a year to initiate a misdemeanor prosecution. You should continue to call the Sessions or City Court that you think is involved. But if you were not arrested, the Court Date should appear on the Citation.
Went to court and the judge was late so the attorney assisting is the one who made the call to move my date to a new court room due to feeling like I should have received a reckless driving charge. Can they add that?

You need an attorney to represent you so that things like what you described do not continue to happen. An accusation of exceeding the speeding limit by over 60 mph is not going to get you any sympathy but if you have an attorney he should be able to keep your from getting railroaded.
I explained to the officer I had just pulled out which was true and could not have reached that speed in the amount of time from which I was stopped. I was before 6am and dark and the officer was heading in the opposite way but stated I was clocked by radar. I have a Mustang, it is a 2 door vehicle... View More

No. General Sessions allows oral amendments quickly for the State, if needed. Either hire an Attorney or represent yourself in a respectful manner. Bring cash for the costs.

What is your question? If this concerns a Traffic Violation, then your attorney needs the medical record so he can talk to the DA. Such records are heresay but sometimes help.
Will I be charged with a misdemeanor

Apparently you already received a Misdemeanor Citation, or you would be in jail. The 43 over is 8 points added to your your MVR. 3 more points in a year and you lose your TNDL. Go to Court in a respectful manner with cash to pay the Court. Some type of Diversion or a lesser speed plea might... View More
I am going to be out of the country at the date assigned on my ticket and am choosing to just mail in payment instead. Can I mail in payment for my ticket in Tennessee (Sumner County - Portland, TN) without having to physically attend court in person?

You will need to call the Court Clerk and ask. That will be a conviction with points added to your MVR.
