There is no law that specifically prohibits this practice. However, if there were represntaions made that were false, you may have a claim under the Unfair and Deceptive Practices Act. Q: I hired someone to put a roof on my house and they were working for a roofing company but they decided to do the work on

Yes. I suggest that you obtain an affidavit from the insuranc adjustor or subpooena that person for trial. Good luck.
