What do I do? I was not speeding

LEO probably says he paced you. Read the Citation. Go to Court and see if there is anything you can do that will not add points to your MVR.
So I got a ticket in Germantown Tn. It was for speeding and expires tags. I went to court and was given option to take take the defensive driver course. Went to next court date provided them certificate for the course completion and with my tags up to date. Yet they still charged me court cost on... View More

Apparently Judge ordered it Dismissed With Costs. You are lucky, as no points are added to your MVR. If you want, you could ask the Judge to plea guilty, then also pay a Fine. Trial is not a good option on speed violations.
I have adhd and I forget things a lot and I need to be able to drive pls!

Hire an attorney to bring you to Court without being on the Docket. Then take care of everything at once.
Also, the cop pulled me over for doing 81 in a 55 but my car can't go over 75 and i told him that and have proof because of a few issues but it's still drivable obviously. Still gave me a ticket and his date is compley off its still for 2020, but it's 2022

Go to Court and explain your operation problems to the DA/Judge. Either you are guilty or it gets better. Have money to pay costs and fine.
Was driving home cop followed me for almost a mile I pulled in my drive way and after I was already in my house the cop knocked on my door requested my driver license and now I have a ticket for an expired tag

Absolutely... Happens alot.
I was driving in a 5 lane road and the bus was stopped on the oncoming traffic side 4 lanes over. I was looking in my mirror at a guy on my tail. I looked back down to see the bus and hit my brakes. The guy behind me came even closer so I let off and eased forward past the bus with the guy behind... View More

It is up to the LEO whether to arrest you or summon you to Court. Here a Citation was issued, but he is requiring you to be booked. You must show up for the process or an Arrest Warrant for a Class A Misdemeanor will probably be issued.
I have a clean record and I was tailgated, boxed in and brake checked by a semi without a load.
With my kids in the car fussing I was extremely uncomfortable and anxious. When this truck finally merged to move on I saw a trooper on the shoulder, no car in front of him and lights on.... View More

Go to Court as it cannot get much worse, only better. That is a Class B Misdemeanor, not C. LEO cannot order you to Class.
What happens now , do I get a ticket.
answered on Oct 7, 2022
That is a Rule of the Road violation. But if no LEO saw you, there will almost never be a Citation. If a photo ticket is generated, remember it is only a civil charge.
I got a $200 speeding ticket for going 15 over, the cop put down Friday on the time instead of Saturday. Can I get the ticket dismissed?

Probably not as General Sessions is not a Court of Record and amendments to the charging instrument can be made easily. Go to Court with your TNDL, Registration and Insurance. Hope for some type of diversion.
I received a speeding ticket on the Natchez Trace in TN...a federal violation. 36 CFR 4.21 (c) for 72 in a 50. I have been asked to pay a fine of $150 and don’t have to appear in court. (Box B). I have a clean driving record. My question is: if I pay the fine, am I admitting guilt and will this... View More

Paying the Citation by mail is a Concviction, and adds 4 points to your MVR. If possible go to Court and act respectful to the US Attorney. It may go better.
answered on Sep 23, 2022
It is not a requirement, only a signed acknowledgement of the Citation. Go to Court with your paperwork and be respectful.
I want to know if a person can be cited for causing damage to my vehicle that is parked in a parking spot and I’m not in it. If they hit it and leave without a note or contact information, can they be charged with a hit and run? What if officers don’t want to spend the time investigating and... View More

Have you identified the License Plate, or the Driver, that hit you? Some places have video surveillance. Any witnesses? Once you identify either the Driver or the Owner, then report it to LEO's and make claims against their Liability Coverages. You might try the Financial... View More
They gave me a court date and no other information was on the ticket. It had no price I would had to pay just a court date for a few months out. It has me worried that I might get my license suspended.

At least go to Court with your TNDL, Insurance and Registration, with cash. Better to hire an attorney. Judge has wide discretion with a juvenile. Be respectful.

Any criminal charge can be a violation of probation.
answered on Sep 7, 2022
No but either at the bottom of the ticket or on the back of the ticket there should be some instructions on who to contact/call for the price of the ticket. That said, if you are cited for a moving violation (speeding, improper lane usage, etc.) I recommend that you contact a traffic ticket... View More
I was taking my kids to school one morning and there was a State trooper standing outside of his car where the kids are dropped off when I pulled in to let my kids off he asked me to step out of the car he said that I was speeding I asked him can I see the radar gun because I'm sure I... View More

LEO's claim to know how to judge speed from Pacing. You can question the evidence at Court, but you will probably benefit from working out a Dismissal with costs, etc. with the DA or Judge.
I received my first ever ticket for holding my cell while driving. I wasn’t talking or texting. I picked the phone up to show my daughter something and was pulled over. This happened the end of May and my court date is this week. So, my question is do I just show up on my court date or do I have... View More

You should always appear if you have a court date or risk other consequences. You don't tender a plea before hand.
I was sentenced 60 days and then $1800.00 in fines to be paid and probation with no end date , it ended when my fines were paid then I was no longer on probation , i completed all time in jail and then I did not pay my fines and I had a warrant for violation of probation then went to court and the... You may have three 11 mo/29 sentences or three 30 day sentences. Without looking at the dispositions on each Warrant, it is impossible to tell. You need an attorney to go to Court with you now. It appears you have already been convicted, that is apparently Diversion was not ordered.
There’s no fine amount written on the ticket. It’s completely blank and I have the option to pay by mail as well. Is this normal, or did the officer make a mistake? Would a judge see 88mph in a 55mph as reckless driving, class b misdemeanor, or just as speeding, class C misdemeanor? Thank you

If you pay it, then that is a conviction and points will be added to your MVR. You might want to hire an attorney or at least go to Court. The blank Citation is something to talk to the DA or Judge about, but it is Sessions and can be amended on the Bench. Apparently the LEO did not thing... View More
I requested proof of speed I was accused of when pulled over and was told by the ticketing officer he did not have to provide it in TN

Following up on attorney Avery's post, it is still recommended that you contact a a traffic ticket attorney or 2 in your area to discuss your options and how to best mitigate your ticket----usually the cost to pay an attorney on a speeding ticket is less expensive than the months of increased...
