Hi I need to know what paperwork I need to file in order to gain emergency child custody of my grandchildren. I currently have a court case for permanent custody but because of a dangerous situation that happened this past weekend I need to be able to have custody of the children now for their own safety. Please let me know how to get the paper work that needs to be filled out and where I need to go and file it.

A: You have two options. If you have a case pending for custody, you can file for an emergency hearing in that matter. There is no template form that I am aware of, so you will need to hire an attorney to represent you or to draft the paper work and advise you how to obtain a hearing date.
