Q: A friend has defaulted on payments on a car loan and are now making life threats against me and my family

A friend/employee need a car, i took out the loan with the agreement they would pay the monthly payments they contacted me last week asking for a 1000.00 dollar loan i said i could not Yesterday i found out they had not paid the car payment Dec or Jan In contacting them about this it has now become angry and they are now sending text to my phone and threatening me and my family's safety

A: This is a serious allegation. If you are truly being threatened, then law enforcement may need to get involved. Of course if you call the police, the party threatening you may argue that you have committed "Theft" and police may come back and charge you with a serious felony if you decided to keep the car but never paid.
