Q: Can I be sued for an at fault accident if the other party was not in the vehicle?
I backed into another vehicle on private property and was cited for improper backing. Both vehicles had less than 500 in damages. The other party was bridge in the front seat with both feet planted on the ground leaned in the car to get something out. There video of the accident. He is claiming injuries. My insurance company took my recorded statement, now the other parties insurance company would like a one? Do I have to provide this?
