A: Colorado, and most states, base sales tax on the physical location of the sale. If the buyer and seller are at two different locations (e.g. internet sales), the "sale location" is usually based on the buyer's physical location. The sale location does not typically change due the pickup location (FOB or CAP), unless the transaction was completed and picked up at the same time. Check your city sale's tax rules, some cities (rarely) do catch all transactions within a city's borders.
