Elk Grove Village, IL asked in Personal Injury for Illinois

Q: I fell back in 12/2014 at Home Depot did not inform Home Depot but did tell my doc and Ortho doc. Do I have a case?

I fell flat on the cart and my chin hit the ground and snapped back.i had bruises on my chin and my neck hurt. Knees hit the ground hard I had just had surgery for cubital tunnel on 11/14.the cart rolled out of the spot and I didn't see it. I returned the cart to the store so no one else Would fall, I didn't report it to the store. This happened on 12/23. I saw my doc on 12/29 and told her about the fall and showed her the bruises on my chin. And discussed back neck and knee pain, I also saw my Ortho doc and she did take X-ray of knee and said bruised femor. My primary did order MRI of neck but I am on short term disability and my job let me go cause they only allowed 12 weeks fmla. So no money to have test done. Do I have a case even though I didn't report it to Home Depot at the time?

A: I'm not exactly sure how the accident happened or what negligence, if any, there is against Home Depot. The fact that you did not report the accident will hurt you in making a claim. You should contact a personal injury lawyer in your area for a free consultation.
