Q: Lent my car to a former friend(now an enemy)

Lent my car to a former friend(now an enemy), an extremely old guy hit my car from the rear side while my friend was driving, no cops came but the two were able to exchange info of both cars as well as pictures of the accident, old guy admitted fault but my friend wasn't on my car insurance policy then old guy left....so I and my friend at the time decided since he is not on the policy,I can sue the old guy and I did and got a payoff for the damage caused by the old guys car as well aS MAGGAGE THERAPY AGAIN COMPENSATED FOR but my friend wants me to pay him money? Can he legally sue me if I Dont give him anything?

A: Your friend may be an insured under your policy if he was a permissive driver. If the old guy was at fault, your friend should be suing him. I don't understand the reference to maggage (massage?) therapy. Why would your friend be making a claim against you if the old guy caused the accident? You can turn it over to your auto insurance to handle.
