Glenview, IL asked in Traffic Tickets for Illinois

Q: Why did I receive my 2nd suspension, especially when I am paying my lawyer for supposedly pending cases?

DMV Record Suspensions: 09/24/11 - 09/24/2012 (convicted of not less than 2 off. in 24 mo)

03/31/15 - 07/31/15 (expired license)

07/14/15 - 01/14/16 (conviction after previous 6-206(a)36 susp/rev

I have an ongoing court case that has been continued repeatedly, from an incident on 11/12/14 (texting while driving, expired license, paraphernalia). At court on 03/16/15, the judge said he would issue continuance for expired license charge so I could reinstate my license (was not eligible to be renewed due to unpaid fines). I paid fines on 03/31/15 and was issued a 4 month suspension. At my next court date, the judge continued again so I could get a lawyer. I came back with a lawyer, & received ANOTHER continuance. Missed court on 07/14/15
