Q: Define TN law for "Reasonable notice" of a hearing when Respondent lives out of state.
A: Reasonable notice depends upon the facts. You have only stated that the respondent lives out of state. I assume that means in CO. Perhaps you should determine what is unreasonable. For instance 24 hour notice would not be reasonable. It would probably be unreasonable to provide less than a month's notice, but it would also depend upon the facts, and what is alleged. In certain circumstances, one must proceed with a case, on an emergency basis, with very little or no notice.
