Q: My daughter was in car accident back in March, she had not Insurance at time of accident, and she was found at fault an
paid for her own car and the ticket, this is in Virginia, where she serves in the Navy. Now months later the insurance company of the lady she hit is caller her saying they she has to pay them 4000 they paid for their client, or they are going to suspend her license. We re-course does she have as she is not able to pay the 4000.
A: This is probably coming from a subrogation adjuster. Her license cannot be suspended until there is a judgment against her. However, they do have the right to pursue her for payment and may file suit if she does not make payment arrangements.
