Davenport, IA asked in Criminal Law for Iowa

Q: Can the depart. of correc. services force psycho-sexual evaluation and treatment for a non sex related crime?

I accepted a plea of enticement of a minor with conditions that its not a sex related crime. Also its a 2 year probation with a deferred judgement. The probation office is saying its procedure for me to undergo psycho sexual evaluation and sex offender treatment. My lawyer mentioned a case of State vs. Springer I believe. But the paper I got from him says findings not published. I can not find it anywhere on the internet. So can they force this on me? I have a hearing scheduled for the matter. And also, the prosecutor in the case is agreeing with us that I should not have to participate is such things as its not a sex related crime. That its half the reason for the plea offer. The prosecutor even admitted in private with my lawyer that she doesn't think I did it. Which is messed up because I am indeed innocent of any of the allegations. They either got the wrong guy or the whole story was made up entirely.
