Q: What are we legally required to pay
We agreed to the one table being replaced she agree to 200 than changed her mind twice via messages she agreed to 250 than changed her mind each time stating shes entitled to new living room set beings her table was damaged and it was part of a set. She at first wanted all her tables replaced so they matched than she stated nope the officer told me new living room beings now her tables and couches are a set as well as her tv stand. What are we legally required to pay the office told me he didn't tell her she gets a new living room set. She claims her witness she has was there when the officer told her she gets a new set , her witness was heard and statement given threatened to hang my kids after all this happened. Can she even be used as a witness she is clearly willing to lie for this girl. We live in Gig harbor WA even though this says Oregon
A: Completely unknown as the facts needed are not in your question. First, the officer cannot give legal advice, so what is or is not owed has no relevance to what the cop said. Otherwise, the information needed is as to why exactly you may need to pay for someone's table(s). Did you break them, did you steal them, did your kids break them; if broken, was this related to a car accident, were you visiting her house, did you set her house on fire, was this at a store? That is what is important.
