Nashville, TN asked in Business Law for Tennessee

Q: In a partnership. My partner allowed most of inventory to be destroyed by water damage.I want out.Do I have legal rights?

I'm in a partnership. My partner put up capital to buy initial inventory and provided the warehouse space. I do all of the sales. My partner receives a certain percentage of the profits and I receive commission. Anything left over after payment of expenses is split equally. My partner, though negligence, allowed most of our inventory to be destroyed by water damage while in his warehouse. I want out of the partnership as he is not fulfilling his duties as manager of the warehouse and shipping(he has other interest) and to continue in this partnership is not practical any longer. Do I have any legal rights against my partner? Thank you in advance.
