Q: My friend asked me for help on form i-134 sponsorship
My friend asked me for help on affidavit of support form I-134 because he got married to American citizen and he in the process of getting his 10 yrs green card. However, I recently filed form I-130 for my younger brother(16 yrs) who just graduated from high school, and am planning to do the same thing for Parents who are coming for my wedding next year, in addition, my fiance is a student as of now, and i am obligated to file for her as my spouse after the wedding.
Here is my questions:
1. How many people can i sponsor at the same time ?
2. If sponsored my friend, wont that affect my parents, younger brother and my fiance that i will be sponsoring some time next year?
What do i do now ? Should i help my friend of not ?
Thanks for your advise.
A:
Hello,
It all depends on how much money you make per year. There is no limit on how many people you can sponsor as long as you make enough money. USCIS has income regulations that you have to meet in order to sponsor a certain number of people. I suggest you work with an immigration attorney in private to discuss and find out if you make enough money to sponsor all of these people. All the best.
