Dover, DE asked in Immigration Law for Pennsylvania

Q: My wife applied for COS from H4 to F1 in August 2015. We just received RFE requesting financial support docs

USCIS is asking us to provide financial support documents to sponsor her tuition and living expenses for the course duration. We applied for Bank loan in India and it got approved. Is it enough to provide bank loan sanction letter and property documents supporting the bank loan?

A: Yes, when you are applying for a F1 visa you need show proof for the tuition and living expenses. The school will provide an estimate of how much it will be and you need to proof that you have enough funds to meet the estimates. An approved bank loan letter will help if it meets the estimate. The DSO in your wife's school should be helping her with these matters. If you have more questions regarding this or need additional assistance talk to an immigration attorney in private. Many immigration attorneys including me offer free consultations, make use of the consultations. All the best.
