Q: Can my work refuse to pay me because I turned in my time card/payroll late?
I work for a school where I turn in my hours worked/what I did during those hours every two weeks. This week, for the first time ever, I turned my payroll in Monday morning, though it's due Saturday evening. I also informed them that I could not get it turned in that Saturday by 5 because I wasn't near a computer. Now they're trying to say not only can I not be paid late, but I will be not be compensated at all for the past two weeks I worked.
A: Believe that's a violation of wage hour law.
