Q: I am trying to get a rough idea on child support for Colorado. Here are the details:
We have 2 boys together 11 and 13. We share custody 50-50. He has 2 more biological children with his current wife (3 years old and 1 year old).
His gross monthly income is: $28667
His total monthly family medical cost are: $500
My gross monthly income is: $4400
Can you plug that into the Colorado formula and let me know? Do you need any other information??
Thanks
MOM
A: This is a question that should be discussed under attorney-client privilege and not be publically available. Justia is for general legal questions. Here is a link to the software that attorneys (an the public) use for maintenance calculations. http://www.familylawsoftware.com/download_client_edition_co.html . The software is free, and certified by the Colorado Judicial Branch. It functions like a TurboTax or other tax preparation software. If you want a detailed discussion and review of the factors that can impact support (i.e. the children from a subsequent marriage), you will need to contact a family law attorney directly.
