A: Yes, under federal law, you are ineligible -- in any state --- to obtain a CMV license (CDL) until one full year after the date of conviction. Be sure to clear up all reinstatement issues, before you apply. Otherwise, your status will show up on the National Computer System of state licensing agencies, and your CDL application will be denied.
