Mishawaka, IN asked in Personal Injury for Indiana

Q: Brother, incarcerated in St Joseph County Jail had bad injury and needs lawyer fight against St Joseph County Jail.

He was working in the kitchen as a trustee since 3/5/16 he had an accident on 10/3/16. While in the stock room loading a wheel cart, one of the boxes of caned goods fell straight down on top of his foot. Now foot leg and calf is extremely swollen and in pain. He was sent to Memorial Home Care for x-rays. It was not broken but very swollen. He was put on a different job for 3 weeks due to foot, but foot got worse. 3 weeks after incident medication and a medical boot was given. He was put in Medical site. Medical site requires a 24 hour lock down. He only comes out for visits and showers. The doctor says he can go to recreation room to walk around but that would only make the foot worse. He would like an attorney to represent him in this injury situation. He believes that by them putting him in medical site and say you can go to recreation room to walk around is defeating the purpose. He feels that it's a set-up putting him in Medical to see if he is really injured. What should he do now?
