Q: Can I be sued for negligence for bumping into someone and they trip?
I was at a crowded place Friday evening. I turned to look over my shoulder, bumped into a man who tripped and fell on his face, causing his nose to bleed. I leaned down to help him, but saw the blood and stepped back, letting security handle it so I wouldn't come into contact with the blood. I'm worried about being sued, am I liable?
A: Only if you were careless in turning or how you turned. If he wasn't moderating his speed,on him. However if no one got your name unlikely someone will be looking for you. If they do, If you have homeowners let them handle it.
