A: Hello Asker,

If you are under 21 years of age, then yes. You can can be suspended for too many moving violations if: you receive two moving violations before your 21st birthday that are issued within 24 months of each other AND both result in a conviction. You can also be suspended if you receive a moving violation before turning 21 that results in a conviction if you have previously been suspended for the above reason.

What this means is that if you receive a conviction on your new ticket while on your supervision, your supervision can be revoked and that will be the second conviction triggering a suspension. Even if you get court supervision on the second ticket, your supervision can still be revoked. For this reason, you should be prepared to go to court on your new ticket. If you try to resolve it out of court by paying the fine, they WILL DENY YOU court supervision because of your other ticket within a year.

This of course is all speaking in generalities. There are multiple types of violations and only some of them trigger the rules mentioned in the first paragraph and others trigger different rules. For a complete picture of what is going on with your record, you should contact a traffic attorney who can ask you the necessary questions to identify what steps need to be taken to protect your license.

Hope that helps clarify things and let us know if you have any other questions!
