Q: 2 tickets at 19yrs, license suspended 3 months, turned 21, do those tickets still show up on my record now that im 21?
A:
Hello Asker,
Yes, they will still show up. There are ways to remove them from being publicly visible (preventing them from being visible to employers and insurance companies) but there is no way to make them invisible to all. By this I mean that courts, police, prosecutors, attorneys, the secretary of state, and you will still be able to see them. As for the time to do that, it may be too late to do so considering that in most courts, they only entertain cases that are no more than 2 years old.
So, long answer short, yes, it will appear on your record for many years to come. I've heard of circumstances where they are supposed to fall off after 8 years but I do not place stock in this as I have seen tickets from over 30 years ago on driving records.
Hope that helps and let us know if you have any additional questions!
Sincerely,
Jason A. Wilkins
