Q: I need to petition the courts to waive the reinstatement fees owed for my driver license

I was suspended several times for no insurance 15 to 20 years ago and had no incident between then an now until November 2014 at which time I was suspended again after an accident . There was no money owed out for the wreck. I need to petition the court to reinstate my license and waive the fees. I do not have any income outside of workmans comp of 170 a week. I he;p care for my two granddaughters and need to be able to drive with them in the car. I also need to make medical appointments. How can I petition the court to waine those fees . I live in morgan county.

A: If you have access to a computer, you can go to the BMV website and there should be a link to what you need to do to have them waived. I would also suggest to see if in Morgan County or any close county if there is a legal services office for low income. IU Law school in Bloomington may also have a legal clinic that would be able to file on your behalf.
