Q: I sent the non custodial parent intent to relocate letter according to Louisiana Statute 9:355.5. What if he don't respo

Okay so I've sent off the intent to relocate letter according to Louisiana Revised Statute 9:355.5. So I according to the postal tracking he's never picked the letter up an the post office will soon return it to me. What do I? Would it be okay for me to relocate or make another attempt? The law doesn't state anything about makin several attempts in which I shldnt after doing everything in order. But I'm just curious anyhow.

A: Under LA law, if he refuses the letter, of if it's returned "unclaimed," then the notice is legally considered as being delivered to him. Therefore, if he fails to object within the statutory timeframe, you are free thereafter to move. Good luck.
