A: Depends entirely on the cirucmstances. If the deceased was at fault it may be a long time. Product liability, other cases can take a long time.

As my colleague answered, there are too many variables to give a meaningful answer without more details. If you are pursuing a wrongful death claim in Illinois, it is foolish to do so without an experienced attorney. Consults are free.
