Q: I'm 18 but I got 2 speeding tickets when I was 17 and I went on court supervision and that was over earlier this month
And I got another speeding ticket last week at I going lose my license?
A:
Hello Asker,
I would caution that you should speak to a lawyer because three tickets under the age of 21 within a year is fairly high risk territory for suspension. In such situations, I often prefer to see a copy of a driving record or court records to give a definitive answer of the risk of suspension because it gets very date specific. Having a ticket a few days later can make the difference between a high risk and low risk of suspension (I should know. I've seen it personally before where mere days made the difference).
Simply put, I would need to have a conversation and ask a few follow up questions before I can comfortably say what your risk of suspension is as it requires some really nitty gritty dating of the tickets to say for sure what the risk is. I can say that based upon your description, your risk is somewhere between zero risk of suspension (assuming all the best circumstances are true) and high risk. There's simply not enough information here and follow up questions are needed.
I'm sorry I can't be more specific but I need to ask follow up questions in a free consultation to say further what the risk is. I hope that helps and let us know if you have any additional questions!
Sincerely,
Jason A. Wilkins
