Q: fell,hit head,have Vertigo now,neck muscle pain.Being treated.Bought items to make me comfortable.Want 2 file chapter 7.
Havent filed yet. Can i go ahead and file even though i charged $200? On ss disability, below median in TN. Have 2002 car pd off & worth about $5,800-$6000. No other assets. The purchase was last week. Part of the purchase was paid with $55 rewards program money I accrued. Will this store credit card purchase cause me trouble if I file Chapter 7 within 30 days? Will I still be liable for that credit card? I owe the store $2,700. Owe total of $25,000 credit card debt. I'm 60 years old and my income will go down by 1/3 in 5 years at age 65. I make payments on all my cards on time, then need to use credit I created by my payment. I have no savings and see no way out. Cannot qualify for debt consolidation loan at banks. Can I go ahead and file without getting into trouble?
A: You should be able to file. Recommend speaking with an attorney in your jurisdiction to be safe. Many counsel offer free consultations. Good luck.
