Q: Parental Alienation and Child Support
Went to court to enforce our stipulated parenting plan last Nov. During my case I proved Parental Alienation, but the judge's order ignored the expert's testimony and what to do for severing alienation. Her order (temp) was to each child in therapy and my ex and me into parent coaching. We are at the six-month status stage and he, again, is in contempt of the order. He stopped their therapy and pointed that I hand not paid. My ex did not send me any invoices to me, to pay. Complicated. He just filed a motion for child support from me. I should be able to successfully fight this because I have and order that he is the one who has alienated them from me. He is also in contempt of the current order and now intentionally and willingly disregarded the order. What can I co?
This is not the standard formula for CS I am proved he alienated them from me, and continues his abuse.
A: The child support issue is separate from everything else you raise. Both parents have a duty to provide support. The amount is determined by a formula that accounts for the number of overnights the child spends with each parent, the parent's income and costs of health insurance and day care for the child. You should retain an attorney to assist you with this complicated case.
