Q: I am a minor (17) that was recently detained and arrested for "being high on marijuana." Can charges be pressed?

A: Yes you can definitely be charged with being under the influence of MJ and with your admission here they may also charge you with the paraphernalia as this is an open website and you have no attorney client privilege on the WEB. Thus stop talking about the case both here, over social media, over the phone or anywhere but the office of the lawyer you choose to represent you. Today all communications are monitored by our government, chances are your too low level for them to even care, but you never know and it has been done. As for the family part thing, it is the same as criminal court except that any conviction will not go on your adult record, but still can be used to enhance any adult sentence later in life thus best avoided.
