A: The answer to your question is dependent on which state you live in and are licensed. If you live in Maryland and are convicted and suspended in Maryland then you are suspended in all 50 states. If you live in another state, but are convicted in Maryland and your home state is not part of the interstate compact so it does not suspend your license then you would be ok to drive. Again this is dependent on what your licensing state does with the suspension.

A: If your license is suspended in your home state, then you are suspended for all intents and purposes. You haven't stated whether you are licensed in Maryland. Your home state has jurisdiction over your driving privileges, not the state of conviction (unless it is also your home state).
