Q: I have a personal injury/accident claim filed with an attorney in Orlando.
If I want to fire him will I be responsible for the 331/3 fee and then need to pay my new lawyer another 331/3 fee?
A: Mostly likely yes as to a portion of the fee. He would be entitled to what is called quantum meruit fees. ie: ha can be compensated for the work he has done or contributed to the case.
