Aurora, IL asked in Domestic Violence and Workers' Compensation for Illinois

Q: Wife threatens to testify against me if i dont give her any money. Is there any crime in that?

I have a workmens comp. In progress, it was before she and a witness gave false statements against me, having me arrested, this has been going on since febuary 2016. We dont live together, havent for almost 3 yrs, she's on section 8, has been since 17, she's 40 now. Met her at 36 i was 38, i been working for chrysler since i was 19. Everytime we argue or i cant help her with money she threatens me with sending me to jail by helping the da if i dont pay her some money. This whole ordeal has been stressful and spiritually draining. This is a interacial marriage if that helps shine any light on the situation. Just saying. Oh yeah they claimed i hit my wife. Never in a million years.
