Q: I got pulled over going 88 in a 55. This is my first time getting a ticket. I'm I going to lose my license?

A: The offense itself does not cause an automatic license suspension. It takes 2 convictions on moving violations within 24 months to suspend your license if you are under 21 years old. 3 convictions within 12 months if you are 21 years old or over. However, it is a criminal offense and you should speak directly to an attorney to discuss representation.

A: I would be more concerned about the possibility of jail time. That type of speeding is a Class B misdemeanor. You should really hire a lawyer. I don't believe supervision is possible for this type of offense. I don't know about losing your license for this off of the top of my head but the SOS has a "points" system to determine suspension for certain offenses and this may have a lot of points.
