Minooka, IL asked in Traffic Tickets for Illinois

Q: I'm 20. Got pulled over going 27 in a 55. This is my first ticket ever. jail time?! Fees?? Someone explain please

Is there jail time, or what is the fees because this is my first time getting pulled over and im freaking out because of the court date. Also, the officer messed up and maked on the ticket AND told me to my face that a court date is not required. Then we were confused and my lawyer called the county and they said he messed up and that i do have to go to courf.

A: You have a lawyer.

Why not ask him since he has all the information.

A: Confused, 27 in a 55? Also, you have an attorney so you really should be asking them these questions. That is why you are paying the attorney. If your attorney is not able to answer these simple questions, you need to find a more experienced criminal defense attorney.
