A: Your driver's license will only be suspended if and when you receive a conviction on the new ticket. Two convictions within 24 months will result in a suspension at your age. You will receive a notice of suspension from the Secretary of State if a conviction is entered in court on the new ticket or if you simply pay the new ticket. A work permit (RDP) would need to be applied for via a hearing with the Secretary of State once a suspension is entered on your record. It is a complex and lengthy process, which you should aim to avoid. You should consider legal representation to ensure the new ticket is handled properly. Best of luck!

A: if you get a conviction then your license would be suspended. I would hire an attorney to see if you can get supervision or the ticket dropped. If you do get 2 convictions and notice of suspension, then you'd have to hire an attorney to request a hearing with a Secretary of State hearing officer.

A: You really should never just mail in a ticket unless it is a non-moving violation. I strongly suggest that you go to court on your second ticket with an experienced criminal defense attorney by your side to make sure that you get supervision on this second ticket. Also, I would suggest motioning the other ticket up to see if you change the conviction to supervision. Insurance companies can see convictions on your driving record but they cannot see supervisions. It is much better for you to have supervision when compared to a conviction on your driving record. I strongly encourage you to contact an experienced criminal defense attorney to assist you with these matters.
