Buford, GA asked in Child Custody and Civil Rights for Georgia

Q: How would I terminate temporary gardenship?

The mother of the father of my child has temporary gardenship. Justin "the father" signed the birth certificate and signed the same temporary gardenship papers as I did but that doesn't mean the child is legitimated. He is not supposed to be living in the home according to dfacs. When j.r "the father of justin" was trying to get me to do things and he touched me I left called the law and now since I called the law the grandmother is keeping my son from me. How is this legal or fair to me when i have no way of coming from Gainesville ga to commerce ga. But yet Justin lives there and isn't supposed to! And now that I told the law what he did she is keeping my son from me and the father and grandfather are doing drugs in front of my child and Kathy is allowing it to happen but yet dfacs won't pop a drug test on them but will me! Help me. I want my child back! My oldest misses him so much and so do I. I have my own apartment and pay my own bills!

A: It depends on how the grandmother obtained guardianship. I'm concerned that your summary mentions dfacs. If this was a guardianship issued through a dependency case in juvenile court, you can not just terminate the guardianship like in voluntary guardianship. You should consult with an attorney to discuss your options.
