Q: I was adopted along with one of my biological brothers by the same family. There was a lot of abuse and things happened
and they ended up "giving him back to the state". He went to other foster homes and a group home, until he turned 18. Because things got so bad at the home i did what i could to stay and keep going especially for my younger adopted siblings, but it got to be too much. I was living down in North Carolina at the time, age 16. When they put me into theraputic foster care. I was in there until three months after my 18th. At that time I cam back to Pa to reconnect. I have had a horrible relationship with my adopted mother. Was bad.I have recently found out quite a lot of information including info that she has put my younger brother and younger sister into foster care, while keeping my other brother with her. I found out all of this information by a very reliable source, among a lot more information. A close family member and I were trying to look into a private investigator to find a bunch out. But the family member has no legality, but I do. At least i think I do. I need advice or help!!
A: It's difficult to know what your question is. If you're concerned about the welfare of the child still ion your adoptive mother's care, you could file a report with the county child welfare agency. It's going to be difficult to obtain information about the other children if they're now in foster care. You could try contacting the child welfare agency where she lives to see if they can provide any information, but I doubt they will. Perhaps the PI is your best bet.
