A: The answer to your question depends on several factors that are not provided here, such as who is at fault and whether or not the vehicle he was driving was insured. In any event, if you sustained personal injuries as a result of this collision, get medical attention and consult with a personal injury attorney individually as soon as you possibly can.

A knowledgeable personal injury attorney will guide you through the entire recovery process, thereby maximizing your recovery and minimizing your stress. In addition, many of us offer free consultations and will represent you on a contingent basis, so you will not have to pay anything out of pocket to obtain the opinion and representation of an experienced professional. Also, a knowledgeable personal injury attorney is almost guaranteed to add value to your case that far exceeds their percentage of the fees, so it truly is the best decision for you to make.

A: First of all you should hire an attorney that will sort this out. The short answer is that the party that was at fault is the party who you would pursue for compensation for your injuries (assuming you were injured). As for the property damage to your vehicle, your insurance company will handle that piece in most situations without your attorney being involved.
