Q: Can I post content in blogs with the knowledge I acquired from courses online?
I'm learning a few courses online. If I post a blog post series about the topics, with my added views and some knowledge that I got from the courses (free and paid), does it violate any laws? I'm from India. And also, is it okay to display ads on the same site to make money.
A: United States copyright law protects the "expression" of ideas, not the ideas themselves. Therefore, knowledge you have gained from online courses can be used for commercial purposes so long as you do not wholesale copy and we publish their materials and publications. You may want to check the terms and conditions so she with the courses to see if the license imposed on the additional restrictions.
