A: I assume she lives in Michigan with her boyfriend and the two children and will be going to jail in Michigan. Where does your ex-wife live? Was the judgment of divorce entered in Michigan? If so, what county? If it is a Michigan judgment to enforce, I would urge you to contact an experienced and knowledgeable family law attorney in the county. The attorney will know the in's and out's of the court system in that particular county. There is a far more in-depth interview process to get all the appropriate facts That cannot be done here. There is background information to be gathered including the amount of time you spend with your children and how often you would visit with them or speak with them. You will be part of the redhead by consulting with a family lawyer even if a Prius charge for the consultation. You will have a far better understanding of the problems you face or the strength of your case.
