Q: Parenting time/Morality Clause question
Live in Michigan. I have have been seeing my girlfriend for over a year. Ex wife, me, marriage was over years before that. Finally had divorce finalized in June. Girlfriend and I are getting married this month. Will we have a problem with the clause in my decree that states, "the children should not be exposed to, introduced to, have direct contact with any person that they (me) are romantically involved with for a period of one year."
I have not brought my children around her because of the clause and fear of retaliation and harassment from ex.
My question is that if we get married will this clause be null and void?
A: Being married, in my opinion, is not contemplated and should nullify that dumb provision.
